Dublin hotel room rates are the highest in Europe

Hotels in Dublin and Edinburgh are more expensive than London according to a recent study.

A hotel booking website found that consumers pay £114 on average in Dublin - the most expensive city for hotel accommodation in Europe - and £83 in Edinburgh compared to London's £80.

Prague came out as the cheapest city for hotel accommodation with customers paying £49 on average. Glasgow was the cheapest in the UK, at an average just below £73 per night.

The data on room rates was taken from over 100,000 hotels in 200 cities worldwide.
